Job Openings Grew 1.74% Nationwide in July 2014

During July Simply Hired saw substantial increases in the number of job listings in nearly every U.S. metro area. Pittsburgh, PA (3.56%), Sacramento, CA (3.58%) and Tampa & St. Petersburg, FL (3.07%) experienced the largest increases.

Industries that enjoyed the most growth in July included technology (7.72%), hospitality (7.31%), and retail (6.96%). Most occupation categories (45 out of 54) also experienced growth in openings, led by psychologist (10.42%) and equipment installation (5.34%) roles. Health care continues as industry with greatest job inventory, with nearly one-half of top posting companies coming from the health care sector.
