30 Major League Baseball Cities to Score a Great Job
Baseball season is underway, and in the spirit of the new season Simply Hired is taking job search on the road to highlight one of the top hiring companies in each Major League Baseball city in America.
American League East
New York: If you’re into the Bronx Bombers then a job at NYU School of Medicine can keep you in town for the pinstripes’ home games.
Boston: After a big offseason the Red Sox look to be poised to take off. Lahey Health is recruiting, too.
Tampa Bay: The manager might be gone, but the Rays are always in the conversation. This year is no different. Baycare Health Systems should be in the conversation, too.
Toronto: Maybe new turf is making headlines, but when the bats fully wake up the story will change. If Canada sounds like a fun destination Randstad could be your ticket.
Baltimore: The Orioles look to be ready for another exciting summer. Try Roehl Transport to keep yourself near Camden Yards.
American League Central
Detroit: After a strong start the sky is the limit for the always-competitive Tigers. General Motors continues to roar in the Motor City as well.
Chicago: With a number of great acquisitions during the offseason Chicago is even more loaded then before. Get ready for big things from the Windy City this summer. Advocate Health Care is stocking up employees, too.
Minnesota: The team is moving in the right direction coming into 2015. Allina Healthcare has hiring momentum, too.
Kansas City: After its Game 7 loss in the 2014 World Series the Royals come into 2015 with unfinished business. Their strong start suggests that 2015 may be their year to raise a flag. Ameriplan is another great home team in Kansas City.
Cleveland: A number of writers in the national media have picked the Indians to go all the way this year. With the drought in Cleveland potentially over, you have to wonder if the Wild Thing will be closing games soon. Cleveland Clinic Foundation will continue its support of the city.
American League West
Texas: With the rough season last year the Rangers are hoping to keep players off the DL this year. With the stacked American League West division, it looks like they’ll have their work cut out for them. But don’t bet against the Rangers or Texas baseball! Try Texas Health Resources in Dallas for jobs and catch the Rangers at home.
Houston: These are exciting times for the Houston fans. With a young core forming the Astros should be great for years to come. HCA’s core is strong, too.
Seattle: After the acquisition of Cano last year and the Cruz this past offseason, the already deep Seattle lineup looks poised for the playoffs. The Mariners and Amazon are starting to look similar – big power players coming out of Seattle.
Oakland: Billy Beane is always tinkering with his team, and this past offseason was no different. So far the results are promising. If you want to catch the green and gold, Tallgrass Talent Group is hiring.
Los Angeles: Behind the great Mike Trout the Angles are capable of anything. Although their performance last postseason wasn’t what everyone expected, look for them to back in the playoff picture this year. Aflac is hiring and can be the key to catching games at Angles Stadium.
National League West
San Francisco: The odd year curse. Will the Giants break the trend and win two in a row? That’s the question in the City by the Bay. But no matter what, don’t count them out! Like the Giants are always part of the baseball conversation, Kaiser Permanente is a key hiring destination in the Bay Area.
Arizona: It was supposed to be a rebuild year for the Diamondbacks. But apparently this crew didn’t get the memo. After a good start we’ll see if they can continue the success. If you want to see more of the desert snakes, Banner Health is hiring!
Denver: It’s a common tale with Rockies, if they can stay healthy, they can win. Well, with a bolstered bullpen and rotation the Rockies look ready to break out. Centura health is great pick if you’re looking to break out in the Denver area.
Los Angeles: With the rebuilt front office and a host of other additions, the Dodgers look to be the smartest team in baseball. Look for them to break out of the 2nd round of the playoffs this year and make an appearance in the Fall Classic. St. Joseph Health is hiring and can be your ticket to catching Vin, Kershaw, and the rest of the gang in person!
San Diego: No team was more active in the offseason. So far the product on the field is looking better for it. Marriott will be hiring even more as Petco Park sells out each night.
Philadelphia: Which direction the Phillies are going in is always a debate. But with strong performances from the core, the Phanatic mascot could be celebrating into October. Oracle is great destination if you’re thinking Philly in 2015.
Washington D.C.: How can the Nationals not be the favorite to win it all going into 2015? With a historically great rotation and Bryce Harper the Nationals look destined for history books. Catch the action, grab a job with CR England today!
Atlanta: Like the Diamondbacks, the Braves don’t look ready to call it a rebuild year. Strong performances from unexpected places will keep them contenders. Grab a job with WellStar Healthcare and catch the Braves in Hotlanta this summer!
Miami: If you’re a Marlins fan there’s nothing not to be excited about right now. Look forward to Stanton hitting bombs in October! Miami Dade College is hiring. Apply and see the Marlinator spin!
New York: Matt Harvey. Matt Harvey. Matt Harvey. Did mention Matt Harvey? The Mets are looking like they could be the best this year. If you’re thinking NYC, look no further than JP Morgan Chase.
National League Central
St. Louis: Who’s going to be the surprise Cardinals player this year? There’s always one. A job with BJC Healthcare can insure that you’re in seats at Busch stadium this summer.
Chicago: So much to be excited about! While saying Fall Classic or bust might be an overstatement, the product on the field looks better than anyone can remember. PwC is now hiring in Chicago! Apply today and watch the magic unfold at Wrigley!
Cincinnati: Somehow the Reds were overlooked going into this season. Joey Votto has something to say about that. Momentum Marketing Group is hiring in Cincinnati now!
Milwaukee: No one is too sure what to expect from the Brew Crew this year. But if last season is anything to base it on, there should be some excitement. Advantage Sales and Marketing is your ticket to catching the Brewers this year.
Pittsburgh: The Pirates just need to skip that one game playoff and win the division. The rest of the story will write itself. Apply to BYN Mellon and witness the Pirate season unfold.
