Baanzoekers in deze landen zoeken nu eenvoudiger naar vacatures dankzij Simply Hired. Zoekopdrachten worden op het gehele web uitgevoerd, waaronder op toonaangevende vacaturelocaties, content websites, sites van kranten en carrièrepagina’s van bedrijven.

If you're the kind of person who drools over shiny new gadgets and the latest technology, you'll be excited to hear that All Things Digital, the media and technology site that is part of The Wall Street Journal Digital Network, has a new Jobs channel powered by Simply Hired. Thanks to the new channel, you can now look for jobs between reading up about the new iPhone or Windows 7 upgrade. The new jobs channel can be found at http://allthingsd.jobamatic.com.

Time for a little spring cleaning!

Don’t like spam? Neither do we. That’s why Simply Hired is rolling out a new feature that will clean out those pesky job listings that are either faulty or fraudulent. The new “Flag this job” feature lets job seekers flag jobs that need to be removed from the results, for one of the following reasons:

1. scam/spam job
2. expired job
3. broken link
4. duplicate job listing

Here’s how it works. Below each job listing on the search results page, you will notice a “Flag” link next to a little flag icon.

By clicking the flag link, you will be able to specify the problem you found with the job.

After clicking the specific problem, the job listing will be collapsed in the results and will be labeled as “Job flagged.” Your feedback will be sent to the Simply Hired data quality team and we will investigate repeatedly flagged jobs for removal from our site.

Help friends find jobs

Chances are that whether you’re in the middle of a job search or not, you know somebody looking for a job. So if you’ve ever had that “Ah-ha” moment on Simply Hired when you’re browsing through job listings and suddenly you see one that would be a perfect fit for you or a friend, now you can send it right to their email inbox (or your own, for a nice little reminder to apply).

Just click on the “More Tools” link at the bottom of every job listing and click “Send-to-a-friend.”

A box will pop up prompting you to fill out the name and email information for yourself and your friend. Click Send and it will be on its way!

So remember kids, friends help friends find jobs.

Simply Hired is expanding once again! We now have job search sites for Germany (www.SimplyHired.de), France (www.SimplyHired.fr) and Spain (www.SimplyHired.es), bringing jobs from the top job boards, content sites, newspapers, organizations and company career sites together in one place on the Web. 

In order to make finding their next job a more enjoyable process, Simply Hired offers users a number of features to simplify their search. Job seekers can browse jobs by specific occupational categories or filter their results by location, job type, education and experience. Going Global

Where in the world is Simply Hired? Well, we’re not only in the United States anymore!

Today, Simply Hired launched international job search sites in four countries: Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and India. The sites will have many of the features that you know and love including advanced search, browsing by job category, results filters (by job title, company location, job type, date posted, etc.), and the ability to show only the new jobs posted since your last visit. You can even view RSS feeds for your searches!

My favorite things about the international sites:
1) We now have a navigation area at the bottom of the homepages of the international sites, including the U.S. site so you can easily access any of the sites:

There’s also an easy country pull-down menu in the top right of the results page to switch between international sites. You can jump from country to country and no passports are needed!

2) The Simply Hired logos on each of the international sites have mini-versions of the flag from that respective country. In all of your country hopping, you’ll always know which site you’re on and won’t get lost in the process. You can leave your map at home for these travels!

Blocks of Chocolate

Happy International Chocolate Day!

Although it may seem like we’ve been MIA lately here at Simply Hired (sorry folks, but we’ll be better about blogging), we have actually been cooking up tons of new features to make your job search even easier.  We know that’s hard to imagine, but we love you THAT much.

One particularly sweet, new feature is “Block”. This terrific tool allows you to remove certain companies or sources from your search results with just a click of your mouse.  It doesn’t matter what your reason is: they may be irrelevant to your search, they might not seem trustworthy, or you may even have discovered a shocking absence of chocolate cake in their cafeteria.

Out of Sight, Out of Mind

How does it work? Let’s say you are interested in “sweet” jobs in San Francisco.  Being a chocolate connoisseur, you don’t want to work for just ANY chocolate company. You would like to hide any search result which doesn’t have the company’s name.  To remove jobs like these, just “Block” them.

After choosing to hide jobs where the company name is not provided, anonymous companies will no longer appear in your search results. And, you can do the exact same thing for job sites which don’t quite live up to your expectations.

Change your mind? No problem! You can always “unblock” companies under your account preferences.

Yes, folks, that's right: we busy little worker bees here at Simply Hired have once again brought home the honey. SimplyHired.com is 3 years old today, and in honor of her third birthday, we've launched the first integration with LinkedIn's new application programming interface or API, for those of you who speak geek. When you conduct a job search on www.SimplyHired.com, you can now use the Who Do I Know^TM feature to view your LinkedIn connections at each company alongside your search results.

Didn't know your ex-girlfriend has the corner office at that firm you've been eyeballing, now did you? Maybe time for some flowers and a heartfelt apology for that whole "It's not you, it's me" thing? Or maybe you've got a long-lost college buddy who owes you a favor and can get you an interview.
