If the first thing you do each morning is turn on CNBC or point your browser to Yahoo! Finance, this tip is for you: you can search for jobs on SimplyHired.com by ticker symbol. Ticker symbols are widely used to track financial and other information on publically traded companies. They can also be used to track job openings at these companies.
To search by ticker symbol, enter “Ticker:” into the Keywords field, followed by the ticker symbol for the company you want to search. “Ticker” must be capitalized for the search to work correctly.
For example, the ticker symbol for 3M is “MMM”, so to search for jobs at 3M you must enter “Ticker:MMM” into the Keywords box:
On the search results page, jobs at 3M will appear.
You can also enter multiple ticker symbols to search for multiple companies. So say you really want to work at Google (GOOG) or Apple (AAPL). Just insert “OR” (capitalized), between the two ticker searches: “Ticker:GOOG OR Ticker:AAPL”
and jobs at Google and Apple will appear in your results.
