You don’t have to be a sports fanatic to know that March Madness is the highlight of the college hoops season. Even if you don’t have the height, athletic ability or even desire to be a basketball player and experience one of these NCAA tournaments first-hand, there are a surprising number of ways you can be involved and smell the scent of determination, victory and… lots of sweat.
No matter what your strengths, there is probably a way for you to get right into the middle of March Madness. Great amounts of public relations, marketing and advertising efforts go into spreading the word about the tournament to all those eager fans through newspapers, television, radio and Internet. In addition, lots of physical therapists, sports trainers and even massage therapists are needed during practices and game day to keep those athletes in tip-top shape. Various other workers include referees for the games, the sports writers and journalists to write up the game recaps, and the television producers and camera operators who film and broadcast the games for the rest of us. Even accounting is involved with all those ticket sales!
There’s something for everyone during March Madness. You might be only a step away from finding your dream job!
