Last Friday marked the end of Simply Hired’s office food drive to help feed the hungry this Thanksgiving. In last year’s drive, Simply Hired donated 1,901 lbs of food and $374.72 to Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. Our goal this year was to donate 2,000 lbs of non-perishable food items. Simply Hired came together for a wonderful cause, wheeling in shopping carts full of food to be given to those who need it the most, and the barrels overflowed. While we’ve yet to receive the actual poundage of our donated food, we gave $553.35 of cash donations to Second Harvest!
However you celebrate Thanksgiving this year (cooking a turkey dinner, visiting Plymouth, watching the Cowboys game…), have a safe day filled with family, friends and good food!
